What is EJE?
European Young Enterprise is an educational project that has been developed since the 1999-2000 school year. It is part of the Entrepreneurial Culture Promotion Program, designed by Valnalón to develop entrepreneurial skills at different stages of the education system, and it is aimed at students in 3rd and 4th year of Secondary Education, High School, and Vocational Training.
EJE proposes that students create and manage their own mini-business in the classroom, taking the legal form of a cooperative society. This will establish commercial relationships with mini-businesses from other autonomous communities or countries with the aim of "importing" and "exporting" products between each other. The imported products will be marketed in the local market to later analyze the results and distribute the profits, just like any real business.
The project facilitates the acquisition of all basic competencies:
Linguistic communication.
Mathematical competence and basic science and technology skills.
Digital competence.
Learning to learn.
Social and civic competences.
Sense of initiative and entrepreneurial spirit.
Awareness and cultural expressions.
Objectives
Enhance the development of the entrepreneurial spirit (entrepreneurial skills and attitudes) in secondary education, high school, and vocational training through the application of a set of knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
Provide students with the basic knowledge for creating and managing a business through a real and practical experience, fostering Cooperative Learning.
